Workshop weekend!

Today I attended a workshop for Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.  It was sponsored by The Arts and Science Council here in Charlotte.  I currently use MicroSoft Picture It and find it very easy to use.  Switching to Photoshop is going to take time and patience!  I can barely remember everything we did in the workshop!!!  Tomorrow and Sunday I’m attending a mold making workshop with Andrew Martin.  I want to brush up on my mold making  know-how so I can pursue some new forms.Workshop view

Having a slow day today.

I’m having a slow day today. It’s a bit overcast and that seems to fit my mood of melancholy. I decided to clean the house and sort through the studio and weed out all the tools I don’t use. I like to keep things somewhat ordered because it keeps me from having to search for everything when I need it. I keep all the related tools, ex- cutting tools, measuring tool, ribs, etc. in specific boxes or holders so if I need one that isn’t in my frequently used tool area I can go right to the location where that tool is stored. It really keeps me focused on my work. I hate getting distracted, although, I have to admit I am the king of distractions! Oh, gotta run, I just saw a shiny object!
